Center names new CEO

The Center for Economic and Industry Research has named Gary E. Jones as chief executive officer.

Jones', says company representatives, is in the process of re-evaluate all business strategies and revamping the company's Web site.

Jones, who had been in retirement, is an expert in business valuation. During his 35-year career, Jones served as a partner with Petrinovich, Pugh & Jones, a CPA firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. He founded million-dollar valuation consulting firm ValueNomics, which was purchased last year by Armanino McKenna. Jones wrote The Business of Business Valuation, which was published by McGraw-Hill in 1998.
