Industrial Espionage Spikes

Fifty-eight percent of office workers faced with being laid off admitted they would take valuable data with them if they could get away with it, according to findings from "The Recession and Its Effects on Work Ethics," a survey of 226 Wall Street office workers by IT security expert Cyber-Ark. Fifty-seven percent of workers who admit to already downloading competitive corporate data will use it as a negotiating tool to secure their next post as they know the information will be useful to future employers.
