McDonald's USA, LLC Shift/assistant/restaurant managers learn about the importance of leadership, and the skills necessary to be effective leaders, through formal training and ongoing performance feedback. To become a Certified Shift Manager, the boss must verify the learner's ability to apply new business and leadership concepts via his or her "Post Class Action Plan." Training is provided to help "bosses" at the franchisee, regional leadership, and upper middle-management levels understand the impact of training on business results.
