New wireless presentation technology

Dukane Corporation, a manufacturer of audiovisual equipment in St. Charles, Ill., recently announced the Avocent LongView Wireless Extender. The company says that the LongView Wireless Extender is compatible with all of Dukane's ImagePro data video projectors as well as its LCD and plasma displays.

The extender transmits audio, video and PC content wirelessly from the source computer to the output device. The transmitter and receiver process analog video in a range of 300 to 3,000 feet, and the extender uses including AES encryption, a proprietary 802.11a link layer protocol and a proprietary video compression engine to keep data secure.
