To conduct the first annual training priorities survey, Brandon-hall.com e-mailed survey invitations to 5,424 senior training professionals (defined as one of the three most senior training professionals in the organization, division, business unit or function). We received 222 valid responses, for a usable response rate of about 4 percent.

We then reviewed the provided name of the priority (not everyone offered one). If it was too specific, or too proprietary to a single organization, we converted it to a more general term. If no name was provided, we read the priority description and created a name for it that best reflected the type of priority that was involved.
