Turnover Intel

Twice as many employees with less than two years of service voluntarily leave organizations as do those with more than two years of tenure, reveals a study of worker attrition rates by Purchase, NY-based attitude research firm Sirota Survey Intelligence.

Workers who've logged less than two years on the job, in fact, leave at an average rate of about 20 percent per year, while those with more than two years tenure quit at an average rate of about 10 per year. What's more, the study of nearly 47,000 employees illustrates that of all those who voluntarily leave within any given year, almost 60 percent have spent less than two years with their employer.
