TRAINING TOP 125

What are the criteria for applying to the Training Top 125?

All companies are welcome to apply for the Training Top 125 as long as they are not training vendors (meaning that their primary business is not selling training products or services). Please keep in mind that the Training Top 125 recognizes corporate training overall—not just single training programs—and it’s training for internal employees, not customers.

Companies apply by filling out an extensive application form. The Top 125 application is made available for download on www.trainingmag.com in April. There is a $179 application processing fee. All applications are judged quantitatively by an outside research company and qualitatively by Training’s editors and the Top 10 Hall of Famers. Scoring is explained on the opening of the application.

The deadline for application submission is the last Monday in September. Winners are notified in mid-November, and the black-tie Gala awards ceremony is held during the following year’s Annual Training Conference & Expo in February.

For questions, contact Editor-in-Chief Lorri Freifeld at lorri@trainingmag.com.

Members of the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame are companies that ranked in the Top 10 of the Training Top 125 for 4 consecutive years. Once inducted into the Hall of Fame, they serve as editorial resources, including qualitatively judging the Training Top 125 applications and Emerging Training Leader nominations; providing editorial article ideas; bylining Learning & Development Best Practices articles; and providing thought leadership via Hall of Fame white papers.

EMERGING TRAINING LEADERS

What is the Emerging Training Leaders awards program and how do I nominate someone?

The Emerging Training Leaders awards program recognizes 25 training professionals who have been in the training industry for 2 to 10 years, have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, and have spearheaded a major training project in the last year. Candidates must be nominated by a colleague or peer; no self-nominations. The nomination form is available online at www.trainingmag.com in the fall and is due the second Monday of the following January. Winners are profiled in the May/June Leadership Development issue; they receive their crystal awards at a ceremony the following February during the Training Conference & Expo.
