Each time a cardholder of the UMB Bank Eco Rewards Visa Card makes a purchase they earn points, but just by being a little more mindful, and buying qualified green products such as Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood and paper, environmentally friendly cleaning products and Energy Star appliances, they can double those points.
The UMB Financial Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri is helping Eco Reward Visa Card holders do their part to preserve the planet, by allowing them to allocate points for donations to organizations including The Open Space Council, Denver Botanic Garden and Bridging the Gap. Points are also redeemable for merchandise, travel and gift cards.
"Every person can make daily, conscientious choices that impact environmental sustainability, and we believe UMB's Eco Rewards Card will help encourage green behavior," says Mariner Kemper, chairman and chief executive offers of UMB Financial Corporation.
Support partners of the Eco Rewards Visa Card include The Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Program, Green Seal and the Forest Stewardship Council. These organizations are serving as third-party certifiers of the green features USB is promoting.
