• Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division introduced its WL6700U, a 5000 ANSI lumen, WXGA resolution (1366 x 800 pixels) projector. The WL6700U can create side-byside images for enhanced video conferencing applications that include a live video feed and simultaneous presentations on the same screen. It also offers RJ45 networking support to facilitate online management and control.
• eTelemetry launched Metron 2.0, a Web monitoring technology that allows "recreational" video Website access to employees who have valid reasons to visit these sites, and blocks those who do not. The system looks at the network traffic generated by each employee and department, as well as time spent on each site, allowing management to make informed decisions about who does, and who doesn’t, need to watch online video as part of their job.
