2012 Top Young Trainer Award Winners

Training magazine’s Top Young Trainer awards recognize the top 40 training professionals age 40 and under.

Training magazine named the winners of its 2012 Top Young Trainer awards, recognizing the top 40 training professionals age 40 and under. These executives will be profiled in the May/June 2012 issue of Trainingmagazine and online at www.trainingmag.com, and they will be honored at an awards ceremony in February 2013 at the Training 2013 Conference & Expo, World Disney World Resort, FL.

Now in its fifth year, the Top Young Trainerawards program highlights emerging young leaders in the training industry and gives them the well-deserved opportunity to be recognized. All Top Young Trainer candidates had to be nominated by co-workers or industry peers. All nominators had to submit a nomination form and a resumé for their candidate.

TrainingEditorial Advisory Board members and the editor-in-chief judged the 125 nominations and chose the Top 40 Young Trainers based on:

  • demonstrated leadership skills
  • technical competence
  • career progression in an accelerated time frame
  • the solution to a learning and development challenge and the business results it achieved
  • the development of an innovative training solution/program
  • ability to consistently produce training results
  • demonstrated ability to design training programs that are strategically aligned with the business

The judges included: Brent Bloom, Senior Director, Global Talent & Development, KLA-Tencor Corporation; Cyndi Bruce, Executive Director, Center for Learning and Development, KPMG LLP; Jim Federico, Sr. Director in SMSG Readiness, Microsoft Corporation; Daniel J. Goepp, Managing Director, Learning & Development, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP; Vicente Gonzalez, Learning and Development, Booz Allen Hamilton; Raymond D.
