Two years into the pandemic, and change and agility remain the name of the game—including for us at Training magazine. What the Tech? columnist Phylise Banner has passed the torch to new contributors Yulia Barnakova (her first column is in this issue) and Elisabeth Sanders-Park (her first column will appear in our April online-only issue).
I’m also excited to reveal we rebranded our Training Top 100 awards program to the Training APEX Awards to reflect the winners’ journey to attain peak performance in employee training and development and organizational success. Healthcare staffing company Medical Solutions aced its training checkup, earning the #1 spot in the 2022 Training APEX Awards rankings.
Here are a few Training APEX Awards statistics: The mean revenue for applicants was $6.4 billion U.S. and $4.8 billion worldwide. Representing 4.91 percent of payroll, the mean training budget was $21.7 million. The mean number of employees trained was 35,862. In terms of measuring training effectiveness, 84 percent of applicants utilize Return on Value; 85 percent utilize Return on Investment; 74 percent utilize Balanced Scorecard; and 73 percent use Six Sigma. And 100 percent use Kirkpatrick Levels 1-3, while 96 percent utilize Level 4.
I also want to recognize our Emerging Training Leader winners, whose profiles appear in the “Orchestrating Success” feature.
Congratulations to all of our award winners—we salute your laser-focused commitment to learning and development and your unwavering belief that training can not only change the world, but transform it.
