Douglas Fisher and Nancy Frey are the co-authors of “Teaching Students to Use AI Ethically & Responsibly,” written with Sal Khan. In the book, they introduce the three-pillar framework that guides educators in helping students understand and work with AI.
Fisher and Frey are internationally recognized educators, researchers, and authors who have written extensively on literacy, instruction, and professional learning. Together, they have authored numerous influential books on education, including Rigorous Reading, Visible Learning for Literacy, and PLC+: Better Decisions and Greater Impact by Design. Both are professors of educational leadership at San Diego State University and teacher leaders at Health Sciences High & Middle College, a school they co-founded in San Diego.
