Steven S. Mezzio, Ph.D., CPA, is the executive director and founder of the Center for Sustainable Business and a professor of Practice in Accountancy and ESG at the School of Business at Pace University in NYC. Previously, Mezzio was an audit partner and consultancy partner with PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) and also served as the global leader of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Services and creator and co-leader of the Key Client / Stakeholder Management Group, reporting to the CEO of RGP. This NASDAQ-listed multinational organization was initially founded as a unit of Deloitte and sold in a private equity deal. Mezzio is an editorial advisory board member for the Journal of Accountancy and the CPA Journal.
