The latest training industry mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and more.

  • Through a four-year, $ 10 million U.S. Department of Labor grant, Jobs for the Future (JFF), a national nonprofit driving transformation in the American workforce and education systems, is collaborating with Google and CompTIA on the Rapid IT Training and Employment Initiative, which will provide up to 1,800 people in Dallas, Denver, Omaha, Philadelphia, and San Francisco with high-quality training designed to prepare them for middle- and high-skill information technology (IT) positions.
  • Beekeeper, a mobile workforce productivity and collaboration platform designed for front-line workers, acquired operational workflow platform Lua, which digitizes how work is coordinated and orchestrated across front-line teams.
  • PayScale, a leader in compensation data and technology, merged with Payfactors, a compensation data management company. PayScale CEO Scott Torrey will become CEO of the combined company, with Payfactors CEO Jeff Laliberte taking on the role of chief strategy officer.
