Productivity Coach’s Corner: Make Mentoring REAL (Asynchronously)

Embracing tech tools broadens the reach of mentoring, making it accessible and effective for all.

In today’s fast-paced, artificial intelligence-focused world, mentoring is more critical than ever. I believe asynchronous communication tools offer another way to connect. Texts, e-mails, and video messages can break geographical barriers and allow flexible, thoughtful exchanges.

For these to be effective, mentees must focus on being REAL: bringing Real issues, taking Effective action, achieving Actual results, and engaging in Learning. This approach provides mentors with relevance to foster continuous development. Embracing tech tools broadens the reach of mentoring, making it accessible and effective for all.
