- Brightday—the first computer software solution that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) to bring better posture to computer users—launched on crowd-funding site Kickstarter. Based on the research of Jean Couch, posture advisor to Kaiser Permanente, Stanford University, and Google, the computer app uses bite-sized learning and reinforcement to ingrain good posture into computer users’ routines. The “posture coach” works on all laptops and desktops sold in 2012 or after.
- Skillsoft, a global leader in corporate learning, unveiled Skillsoft Aspire, a new series of digital learning journeys that will provide enterprise technologists and developers with curated learning paths to rapidly advance their proficiency in critical technology roles. The four stages of a Skillsoft Aspire journey deliver approximately 40 to 50 hours of content comprising multi-modal learning courses. Each Aspire journey also will include 10 to 12 hours of practice labs, assessments, and a capstone project.
- Game-based learning platform Kahoot! launched Kahoot! Ignite, an accelerator program for innovative app teams around the world. Teams selected for the program can join Kahoot! on its journey to create value for learners across all geographies and champion the company’s mission “to make learning awesome.” Interested companies can get in touch by sending an e-mail to ignite@kahoot.com with a description of their team/app background, goals, and aspirations.
