- Qumu, a provider of technology for the enterprise, released a new software-based solution called Qumu iPTV, which allows organizations to deliver a rich end-user iPTV experience to any computer, VDI client, television, large-format display, mobile device, connected Web client, or commodity compute stick. The company also launched Qumu Advanced Analytics, which enables clients to optimize video resources and infrastructure by collecting, analyzing, and visually displaying real-time network and usage data.
- Two new versions of Tobii Pro Glasses 2 have been developed to fit easily under helmets and safety accessories, allowing athletes, industrial workers, and other professionals to participate in eye tracking research. By moving the processor box below the temple, the Helmet edition facilitates the use of most safety equipment, while the Integration edition can be purpose fitted to most headwear due to its reduced frame and movable processor box.
- Panopto, an enterprise video platform provider, announced support for the NewTek NDI standard. NDI enables businesses and universities to connect IP-based cameras and other NDI-enabled devices to Panopto’s video capture and encoding software. By connecting these video sources over a standard Ethernet LAN, Panopto customers eliminate the need for HDMI/SDI cable runs and video decoding hardware, saving time and costs on video platform deployment.
