Some 17 newcomers earned a spot on the list this year, the 22nd year in a row Training magazine has ranked the top companies of employer-sponsored workforce training and development.

Taking training recognition to new heights, Training magazine rebranded its Training Top 100 awards program to the Training APEX Awards this year. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic necessitating continued remote work and virtual learning, companies faced a strenuous climb to attain peak employee performance and organizational success. Medical Solutions elevated its employee training and development, earning the #1 spot in the 2022 rankings. State Compensation Insurance Fund (#3) and Paychex, Inc. (#5) broke into the Top 5 for the first time, while construction firms Rosendin (#2) and The Haskell Company (#4) maintained their strong foundations. Some 17 newcomers earned a spot on the list this year, the 22nd year in a row this publication has ranked the top companies of employer-sponsored workforce training and development.

Each Training APEX Award applicant was measured on quantitative (73 points) and qualitative (52 points) data. Factors influencing the rankings include: Training tied to business goals • Kirkpatrick Level 3 and 4 results • Training budget • Training delivery methods and innovation. An outside research and statistical data company, under the guidance of Training magazine, scored companies on quantitative data supplied by the applicants. Then, Training’s editor/publisher and the Training Hall of Fame judges qualitatively reviewed the applications. Kudos to this year’s Training APEX Awards winners on their stellar achievements and brilliance in successfully delivering training in the face of continued challenging times!
