Training Hosts China Summit

The summit presented 14 keynote speeches and two roundtable discussions.

SOME 500 TRAINING AND HR professionals explored the themes of performance consulting, leadership, personnel training, and blended learning during the 2013 Training magazine China Summit held in August at the Shanghai Four Seasons Hotel. Organized by Training magazine and ACT Group, the summit presented 14 keynote speeches and two roundtable discussions. Keynoters included Certified Performance Technologist Dr. Judith Hale, Chapman Alliance Chief Learning Strategist Bryan Chapman, former HP China President Sun Chengyaw, and Tencent Academy Vice President Ma Yongwu.

“The scale of this summit and the topics touched on all brought some new thinking to me,” says Linda Wang, director, Learning & Development, Sanofi. “It broadened my horizons and also identified some gaps. The communication and discussion of the blended mode of training inspires us to think about how to associate our training and management with the industry benchmark and how to further improve our work.”

“We will hold two China Summits in April and August 2014, with the content of both focusing on key topics for training professionals,” says Jennie Wu, managing director, ACT Group. “We also will have three new industry-specific (finance, retail, and health and medicine)conferences in June, October, and December.”
