Minneapolis, MN (November 11, 2016)—Training magazine, the leading business publication for Learning and Development professionals, today announced the winners for the annual Training Top 125, which ranks companies’ excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. The rankings for the 125 leading organizations will be unveiled during a black-tie awards gala January 30 during the Training 2017 Conference & Expo, January 30-February 1 in San Diego, CA.

“The 2017 Training Top 125 winners don’t just set the bar for employee training and development, they vault over it,” said Training magazine Editor-in-Chief Lorri Freifeld. “They are champions of learning and ensure their employees have the skills to succeed in this competitive, ever-changing world. They insist on training tied to corporate strategic goals, and they have the results to show for it. We applaud these organizations for their world-class training and development efforts.”

In addition, during the Top 125 Gala, Training magazine will induct three companies into the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame: Capital BlueCross; CHG Healthcare Services; and Jiffy Lube International. All three earned a spot in the Top 10 of the Training Top 125 for four consecutive years.

Now in its 17th year, the Training Top 125 ranking is based on myriad benchmarking statistics such as total training budget; percentage of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; goals, evaluation, measurement, and workplace surveys; hours of training per employee annually; and detailed formal programs. The ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
