Training magazine
Excelsior, MN (March 1, 2022)—2022 marks the 22nd year Training magazine has recognized organizations that provide best-in-class employee training and development. At the top of the newly rebranded 2022 Training APEX Awards rankings is Medical Solutions (#1), followed by Rosendin (#2); State Compensation Insurance Fund (#3); The Haskell Company (#4); and Paychex, Inc. (#5).
As COVID-19 continues to spark change in people’s professional (and personal) worlds, Training magazine made the decision to rebrand its Training Top 100 to the Training APEX Awards to reflect the winners’ journey to attain peak performance in employee training and development and organizational success. The rebranding provides more flexibility in terms of the number of winners that can be named and allows the publication to maintain the credibility of the program so it is not putting organizations on the list that did not meet the minimum scoring threshold for training excellence.
Training magazine recognized the 2022 Training APEX Awards winners with crystal awards and revealed their rankings during the Training APEX Awards Here Comes the Sun Gala held last night during the Training 2022 Conference & Expo at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, FL. The black-tie gala was sponsored by AMA, Brainier, Brella, Seiko, and the Training Hall of Fame. AMA and Brainier provided special giveaways, including a $500 Amazon gift card and a $500 donation to the winner’s charity of choice. Brella spearheaded the event production. And Seiko served as the official timekeeper of the event and provided keepsake watches and a commemorative clock for the No. 1 winner.
United Wholesale Mortgage was inducted into the Training Hall of Fame after earning a Top 10 ranking for four consecutive years. The Training Hall of Fame now numbers 17 companies.
During the Gala, Training also recognized innovative and successful learning and development programs and practices utilized by some of the Training APEX Awards winners. Best Practice and Outstanding Training Initiative winners received crystal trophies. They are (in alphabetical order):

The Training APEX Awards is the only awards program that ranks companies unsurpassed in harnessing human capital. The Training APEX Awards ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives, and their effectiveness in terms of business impact.
Companies that wish to be considered for Training APEX Awards ranking complete a detailed application, which is scored both quantitatively (73 points) by an outside research and statistical data company and qualitatively (52 points) by Training magazine’s editor/publisher and Training Hall of Fame representatives.
“Despite a year of continued challenges, the 2022 Training APEX Awards winners persevered and attained new heights in employee training and development,” said Lorri Freifeld, editor/publisher of Training magazine. “Their passion for fostering continuous learning and individual, team, and organizational success burns brightly and raises the bar for companies around the world.”
