The latest training industry mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and more.

>>Convey Health Solutions, a specialty health-care business process outsourcing firm, selected Mzinga’s OmniSocial Learning to power its internal employee collaboration, training and communication initiatives, and expand into a community for customer experience and support.

>> The Caterpillar Foundation and Global Communities formed a $4.4 million, three-year partnership to prepare youth in Jordan, Lebanon, and Yemen for the labor market and job placement. The Middle East and North Africa Youth Empowerment Strategy (MENA-YES), which targets young people ages 15 to 29, will focus on building solid linkages with the private sector and potential employers to determine the nature, scale, and timing of needed skills to ensure placement of trainees.

>> Chinese automaker Geely Holding Group selected the NetDimensions Talent Suite for a global learning and talent management solution to support the company’s growth in the automobile industry.

>> Workforce solutions provider ManpowerGroup entered into an agreement to acquire Workshop Holding AS, which owns Workshop Bemanning og Kompetanse AS, Norway’s largest recruitment specialist in the construction sector.

>> Digital media-buying platform and services company MediaMath selected Grovo.com, an Internet productivity and training platform, to power the online portion of MediaMath’s New Marketing Institute, an education initiative to engage and empower the new generation of online advertising professionals. Grovo and MediaMath will share online advertising courses across both companies’ sites.
