>> SeedRef launched a software-as-a- service-based character assessment application for recruiters. The application features an automated reference-checking platform that feeds character data to a reporting and scoring mechanism. The application measures character across eight specific classes that correspond to four organizational impact zones: Culture, Leadership, Productivity, and Retention.

>> Enterprise survey technology provider Qualtrics debuted Qualtrics 360, a 360-degree employee development solution. Using Qualtrics 360, HR professionals and front-line managers can collect and quickly analyze feedback, using advanced reporting to help them create focused employee development plans.

>> Lumesse, a global leader in integrated talent management solutions, unveiled Accelerator, a new package that combines the power of on boarding, learning, and social networking—all available on its TalentLink platform. Accelerator features an employee-facing portal that enables online paperwork submission; social profile creation; and access to training documents, videos, SCORM-compliant courses, and background material.

>> RiseSmart introduced RiseSmart Compass, a cloud-based career management approach that provides employees with the structure and tools they need to build their futures within an organization. Core elements include: career roadmap (planning and tracking), career coaching on demand, internal mobility (jobs and gigs), networking and community, company groove (current employee satisfaction levels), and HR analytics.

>> The OpenStack Foundation launched a new training marketplace (http://www. openstack.org/marketplace/training), making it easier to discover and participate in training courses offered by technology providers in the OpenStack ecosystem. Current OpenStack providers include Aptira, hastexo, The Linux Foundation, Mirantis, Morphlabs, Piston, Rackspace, Red Hat, SUSE, and SwiftStack.
