Zig & Zag

Some 50% of executives believe their organizations are not ready to lead change in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), sustainability, and digital transformation, according to a recent survey.

As the business climate changes at an accelerating speed, organizations and their leaders must be able to change course quickly and seamlessly, the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC) notes in its report, Adaptive Leaders, Culture & Strategy, which surveyed nearly 1,000 C-level executives. Findings include:

  • 50% of executives believe their organizations are not ready to lead change in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), sustainability, and digital transformation.
  • Execs who identify as being from an underrepresented demographic are more likely to believe trust in leadership in their organizations has declined (39% vs. 22% overall).
  • Communication and collaboration are top priorities for culture improvement.
