- Praktika, a language learning app built around personalized AI avatar tutors, is expanding its global reach with the launch of several new languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Italian, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and European Portuguese. Praktika’s voice-first AI avatars adapt to each user’s pace, skill level, and learning style. All courses are overseen by native language learning experts, and the more the app is used, the more tailored the lessons become. Praktika offers a free trial version of the app that provides seven days of full access, and a freemium version that provides full access, but limits avatar choices.

This new functionality, built on anonymized, real-time interactions from the Cengage Student Assistant, will provide faculty with personalized, actionable insights to help them support students, track learning patterns, and enhance classroom engagement.
