Webinar: The Trainer as Peak Performer

NULL

Today's webinar presenters, Jean Barbazette and Maria Chilcote, share the implications of striving to be an effective trainer:

If we hold the keys to unlocking performance within the organization, then WE need to be at our best as trainers! Consider how you can “train by example”:

A picture is worth a thousand words. The human eye captures 10-12 frames, or pictures, per second. An unscientific calculation would thus deduce that one hour of living what you train is worth 3,600,000 words. At the average speaking rate of 450 words per minute, that’s a 1,300-hour presentation.

Fortunately, the example-to-speaking value ratio is much closer, but example is still more powerful than words, especially when it comes to changing behavior long-term.

In preparation for our webinar on The Trainer as Peak Performer, consider these age-old insights into the power of example:

Example moves the world more than doctrine. The great exemplars are the poets of action, and it makes little difference whether they be forces for good or forces for evil.

Henry Miller

Go before the people with your example, and be laborious in their affairs.

Confucius

A good example is far better than a good precept.

Dwight L. Moody

If you would like actionable insights to applying the power of example to your training, join our webinar. We will help you identify characteristics of peak performers and measure yourself against 10 instructor skills to help identify what you’re doing well and where you need to improve.  In the end, you will identify barriers that prevent you from performing, as well as strategies to help you leap over them.

(And, if that’s not enough – we’re raffling off a free book!)

So please join us on Wednesday at 10:00 Pacific time.

…and here’s some more inspiration:

He that gives good advice, builds with one hand; he that gives good counsel and example, builds with both; but he that gives good admonition and bad example, builds with one hand and pulls down with the other.

Francis Bacon

Example is the school of mankind, and they will learn at no other.

Edmund Burke

Imagine for yourself a character, a model personality, whose example you determine to follow, in private as well as in public.
