Ian Barkin

Ian Barkin brings his experience as an innovator and transformational leader to SYKES as its chief strategy and marketing officer. Barkin is a globally recognized thought leader on automation and the future of work. He was a co-founder of Symphony Ventures, a consulting, implementation, and managed services firm specializing in intelligent automation (IA) and robotic process automation (RPA) acquired by SYKES in 2018. Barkin hosts OneTAKE, a video series on emerging technology, digitization, the future of work, and more. He is the author of popular LinkedIn Learning courses on RPA and leadership best practices in the age of intelligent automation. He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Economics and Psychology from Middlebury College. Along with Pascal Bornet and Jochen Wirtz, Barkin is the co-author of the best-selling book, “Intelligent Automation: Welcome to the World of Hyperautomation.”
